Amazon Pay for FluentCart adds Amazon Pay (Checkout v2) to a FluentCart 2.x store. Buyers pay with the payment methods and addresses already stored in their Amazon account: they sign in on Amazon, review the order on your store, confirm on Amazon, and the charge is authorized and captured with the FluentCart order marked paid. The plugin is built on the official Amazon Pay PHP SDK, bundled inside the download, and registers through FluentCart’s own custom gateway contract.

What it does

The button. Checkout renders the official Amazon Pay button from a server signed Checkout v2 payload, with the region matched Amazon checkout script (US, EU, or JP). Buyer sign in returns to a review step on your store, so the buyer places the order in FluentCart like any other payment method.

Exact totals. The Amazon checkout session is priced at the exact FluentCart transaction total before the buyer confirms, with per-currency minor unit conversion (zero-decimal currencies such as JPY handled). The charged amount is verified against the transaction total before the order is marked paid, and the charge is captured for the full amount on completion.

Refunds. Refunds run from the FluentCart order screen through the Amazon Pay createRefund API, and the Amazon refund ID is returned to FluentCart.

Notifications. The IPN endpoint receives asynchronous charge, refund, and charge permission state changes. Every SNS notification signature is verified first, and the authoritative state is always read back from the Amazon Pay API before any order is touched.

Settings and security

The gateway has its own settings screen inside FluentCart: Merchant ID, Store ID, Public Key ID, private key, sandbox or production environment, region, ledger currency, button color, checkout label, and a debug toggle. The settings screen prints the return URLs and IPN URL you register in Amazon Pay Integration Central. Your private key is stored encrypted with FluentCart’s own key encryption. With no merchant credentials saved, the gateway shows a clear credentials required notice inside its own checkout area and never breaks checkout for other payment methods.

Requirements

WordPress 5.6 or later, FluentCart 2.0.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later with OpenSSL, and an Amazon Pay merchant account (Integration Central). This version covers one time payments, refunds, and webhooks. Subscription renewals through Amazon charge permissions are not in this version, and the plugin does not claim otherwise.
