BUILT NOT BEGGED
Gear We Recommend

No fluff. This is the hardware that runs our builds and the gear that shoots our content. Every item on this page earned its spot the same way: it pays for itself. If a tool doesn’t make the work faster, cleaner, or safer, it doesn’t make this list.
Computer Hardware
The bench rules haven’t changed in twenty years: max the RAM, kill the spinning drive, keep it clean, back it up. Everything below serves one of those rules.
High-Capacity RAM Kits (DDR5)
Max the machine out. RAM is the cheapest speed you will ever buy, and a fully loaded board never apologizes. It’s the first upgrade we make on every machine, ours or a client’s.
NVMe SSDs (Gen4)
The single best revival for a tired computer. A spinning hard drive in 2026 is where productivity goes to die — swap the boot drive to NVMe and an old machine feels new again.
Reusable Electric Air Blower
Dust is a monthly enemy, not a yearly one. Buy the blower you recharge — not cans of compressed air you throw away when they’re “empty.” It pays for itself by the second cleaning.
USB-C Docking Stations
One cable turns a laptop into a workstation: monitors, drives, network, power. Sit down, plug in, you’re at a desk. Stand up, one cable, you’re gone.
Portable External SSDs
Fast, pocket-sized backup. The difference between a bad day and a lost business is whether yesterday’s copy of your work exists. Back it up before you need it.
Creator Gear
The kit that actually rides with us and runs the content. Not a wishlist — this is what’s in the bag.
Insta360 X4
The 360 camera that never misses the shot because it sees all of them. Shoot everything now, pick the angle later. It’s how a one-person crew covers a whole scene.
DJI Mini 4 Pro
The drone we actually fly. Under 249 grams, cinema quality in a jacket pocket. Small enough to always have it, good enough to never excuse it.
Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer
Your phone is already a real camera. A gimbal makes it a cinema camera — smooth shots walking, working, rolling down the road. The cheapest production value there is.
GL.iNet Travel Router
The router that runs our rolling office. Truck Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi, job-site Wi-Fi — one private network that follows you instead of a new sketchy login in every town.
Ring Light with Stand
Lighting is half the video, and this is the cheapest half you’ll ever buy. Before a better camera, before a better lens — fix the light.
USB Condenser Microphone
Viewers forgive a soft picture. They never forgive bad audio. A decent USB mic is the first upgrade every desk creator should make — plug in and sound like you mean it.
Gear doesn’t make the creator. Reps do. But the right tools stop fighting you while you put the reps in.
Built, not begged.
